Our team of Psychotherapists in Barrie have worked with adults, children and families for many years in a variety of settings.

They believe that every individual who walks through her door is unique and so is their situation. People come to therapy for a variety of reasons and she is committed to working with clients to create a tailored approach that meets their needs.
Our therapy team at Impact Healthcare utlilizes a variety of techniques (CBT, DBT, EFT, and Creative Therapies) to fit the needs of each client and achieve their goals.
Individual Counselling
Working with individuals in a one-to-one environment to provide support in areas such as worry, sadness, social skills and emotional regulation. Our team strives to provide a supportive atmosphere where they can work together with you to create a positive therapeutic relationship. They provide support in areas such as: worry/anxiety, pre and postnatal anxiety, sadness/depression, stress, goal setting, grief, identity, and emotional regulation.
When working with children*, they use a variety of games, hands on activities and visual aids during our sessions to engage children and youth of all ages. When working with youth and children they strongly encourage parent(s) to join the session for the last 10 minutes to share successes and take aways from the session.
*Please note the first session is dependent on the child's age and is usually parent(s) only.
Family/Parenting Counselling
Just as all families can look different so can family counselling. Our team works with families in a variety ways including; parent coaching, improving family communication styles, supporting families through difficult phases and/or transitions and co-parenting plans. Sessions can vary from the entire family, siblings, parent(s) and child(ren) and parent(s) only.
